TEMPE, AZ – September 14, 2006 – Limelight Networks, Inc., the world’s leading content delivery network for digital media, today announced it is the content delivery network for Amazon Unbox™, a new high-quality digital video download service from Amazon.com (Nasdaq:AMZN). Utilizing Limelight’s global, high-performance network, Amazon Unbox offers consumers thousands of DVD-quality TV shows, movies, and other videos from around the world, all delivered via the Internet to PCs, Media Center PCs, and a family of compatible portable media players. Unbox offers double the video quality of the leading commercial Internet video services, delivering content encoded at 2,500 kilobits per second.
